About the Author

Bobo is the inspirational founder of the Hephzibah Oasis Widows Retreat Center. An organisation whose vision is to provide an integrated transition process—spirit, soul, and body—for widows navigating loss.
Her personal experience of losing her husband at a young age was a devastating blow, plunging her into darkness and confusion. It was amidst this deep pain that she found purpose, supported by mentors, prayer partners, and her family. This lived experience, situated in a context where she felt marginalised and searched for an identity, is the root of the Hephzibah Oasis's mission to be A Safe Space for every Widow.
Her passion is rooted in the conviction that the journey of widowhood, while arduous, can be a sacred period of self-discovery, growth, and transformation.
It is her heartfelt desire to see every widow walk this journey with the consciousness it requires. This means taking the time to experience every step of the process to ensure healing at every level, and reaching the key milestone of being reintegrated back into the world.
She believes that overcoming the pain of widowhood is like conquering Mount Kilimanjaro: to achieve it, you must face it head-on and climb. You are not walking the journey alone; God is with you, and He has promised never to leave nor forsake you.
Through experiential learning programs, she nurtures and unleashes the power within. She guides widows using crucial lessons learned from her own path, like the importance of having a teachable spirit, obedience to ones calling, embracing vulnerability to be able to foster connections and developing resilience required to deal with painful circumstances.
